Ninth Day of Christmastide, Hope in Darkness

On the Ninth Day of Christmastide, i learned that my blessings from Thursday included deep, dark conversations with patients. I am blessed to be able to sit with patients in their most vulnerable and darkest states and talk with them about God. I am not talking to them. I am talking with them and that’s the difference.  In their darkest of times, I am able to sit with patients and families, talk about how God has been with them in so many ways.  Many times, they can come to see how God has been there through it all.  Then together, we sit in awe of what God has done, even at death.

    Linda,
You are blessed to be able to be with these people during their darkest hours. They are blessed in that they can know that they are not alone in their darkest hours.
